Celebrating National Nursing Home Week
This is National Nursing Home Week and in honor of it, there are celebrations and special events going on throughout our company, and around the country. The American Healthcare Association chose “Enriching Every Day” as the theme for this year’s events, and this is a great reminder to all of us—regardless of our age or where we’re located—that every day is a gift that we are given, and we have the opportunity to make something good out of it. Many of the individuals we care for here at Miller’s have experienced a set-back in their health; have needed surgery or possibly rehabilitation due to an injury. While it might be easy to become discouraged in this situation, instead the vast majority of these folks accept the challenge and work with their doctors, staff and therapists to get stronger and better. Their determination inspires all of us. It’s matched only by the determination of the staff members who are working diligently to help them achieve their goals. Happy National Nursing Home Week!
